Hungary's government is seeking a consensus candidate for the office of the President of the Republic, who embodies national unity and is acceptable to everyone, Prime Minister Peter Magyar told a press conference in the Parliament building on Monday.
Fidesz and the Christian Democrats (KDNP) held a protest on Thursday in front of the Sandor Palace against what they called the "establishment of Tisza's autocracy" and the removal of President Tamas Sulyok, with former president Janos Ader addressing the crowd.
