Charity Food Festival Offers a Taste of Ukraine in Budapest on 15 August
The 12th edition of this special Ukrainian charity food festival returns to central Budapest on Saturday 15 August, offering you the chance to enjoy authentic cuisine while supporting a charity.

Held at Városháza Park - City Hall Park - from 11 am to 6 pm, the annual event is centred around borscht, Ukraine's iconic beetroot soup.

Event visitors will be able to sample more than ten different versions of this traditional dish, each prepared using family recipes and regional variations.

Alongside the food, the festival will feature live music, cultural performances, children's activities, workshops and a charity market selling handmade Ukrainian crafts and more.

A prize lottery and additional family-friendly entertainment are also planned throughout the day.

Organised by the Ukrainian association Unity (Jednisty), the festival has become an annual gathering that celebrates Ukrainian culture while raising funds for humanitarian support related to the war in Ukraine. Every bowl of borscht purchased and every donation made contributes to the fundraising effort, we're told.

The venue is easy to reach by public transport, just a short walk from Deák Ferenc tér, making it a convenient venue for anyone interested in discovering authentic Ukrainian food and culture in the heart of Hungary.
