Britannica Students Achieve Highest Marks in Hungary
Britannica International School is celebrating exceptional academic success after students Karen and Mark earned the highest marks in Hungary in last summer’s Pearson Edexcel examinations.

Karen, a Year 12 student, proudly achieved the highest mark in Hungary in the IGCSE English Language examination, showcasing her exceptional talent.

In the picture Mark's sister, Judit is proudly presenting her brother's certificate.

Mark, now pursuing Computer Science at the University of Toronto in Canada, earned Hungary’s highest mark in A Level Mathematics, marking another remarkable milestone.

  • Last year Viktória, received the highest mark in the world in her A Level Religious Studies exam, and highest mark in Europe in her A Level English Literature examination. Viktória had also achieved the highest IGCSE English Language score in Hungary in 2023. She is now studying Philosophy and German at Oxford University in the UK.

  • Yunhao, who is currently studying Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, received the highest mark in Hungary in his A level Mathematics examination in Summer of 2024.

  • Csilla, who is now studying in Spain, received the highest mark in Hungary in her IGCSE English Language examination in 2024.

These achievements reflect the unparallelled standards of achievement and breadth of subject choices offered within Britannica's IGCSE and A Level combination.

Taking IGCSE and A Level courses gives students the opportunity to leave school with two sets of highly recognised and understood global qualifications.

The IGCSE is acknowledged to be the best course for students wishing to enter post 16 education, giving a distinct and clear picture of where a student's strengths and weaknesses lie. It also helps students become accustomed to exams rather than everything being so pressurised and crucial at the end of a young person's school life post 16.

These outstanding results highlight the commitment of the students and teachers alike and reinforce Britannica International School’s reputation as the highest achieving school in Budapest.
