Ecuador Dazzles with Its Exotic Flavors in Hungary

The evening was sponsored by the Ambassador of Ecuador, José Luis Salazar Arrarte, and counted on the expertise of renowned chef Miguel Xavier Monar, and his partners Luis Uyama and Jairo Sanguña, renowned barista, who was in charge of delighting palates in an 8-step tasting dinner.

Shrimp, bananas, tuna, and cocoa were the main Ecuadorian ingredients used in the dinner, which showcased star dishes of the gastronomy of half the world, such as shrimp ceviche based on tropical fruit juice cocktails, or the famous patacones with tuna ceviche.

It is important to remember that, for the last two years, Ecuador has been the first white shrimp exporting country in the world, recognized as the best, and also the second tuna producing nation in the world, in addition to having the most potent tuna fleet in the Eastern Pacific.

The event included a coffee tasting of Arabica and Amazonian Robusta coffees, in which techniques such as V60 and Aeropress were used to exploit the flavor of Ecuadorian beans, which little by little have been gaining ground internationally for their characteristic flavor.

Finally, the wines "Dos Hemisferios" from the popular Ecuadorian winery, which is starting to make its way in the European market, and the most beautiful red roses in the world, decorated the room, and took the attention of the attendees.

The event was attended by executives from the leading import and marketing chains of the Hungarian food and beverage sector, as well as from the hotel and catering sector.

With this event, Ambassador José Luis Salazar Arrarte continues to fulfill the objective decreed by President Guillermo Lasso to bring "More Ecuador to the World and more World for Ecuador".
