With 20+ years of experience in brand building and corporate communications Aramis created international campaigns and won creative awards for the global agency  PUBLICIS - a leading advertising and brand  consulting  firm.  

He is also the founder of "Designliebe" which is a design and emotional marketing think tank creating inspiring (visual)  content & first mover brand strategies. As a social media, brand &  design consultant he supports personal brands, agencies & mindful  entrepreneurs as well.

Aramis mastered his skills in Karlsruhe and  Frankfurt and currently he is living in Budapest. Because of his nomad  life he gained cultural insights from professional experience in Portugal, Spain, Germany & Hungary.

1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?

I visited Budapest first time 2011 travelling from Zagreb by train for the Sziget festival, 2014 I moved here.

2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?

 In Spain & Portugal.

3. What surprised you most about Hungary?

The good weather, beautiful architecture & creative scene. Beside that I do really love to explore the outskirts and countryside.

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?

Definitely join the view from the citadel or one of the non-touristy look outs and visit one of the famous thermal baths or unique tea houses.

5. What is your favourite Hungarian food?

Gulyás leves, but it can be tricky to get a good one since we have many tourist traps and overrated prices.

6. What is never missing from your refrigerator?

A cold beer.

7. What is your favourite Hungarian word?

 Szépségszalon - its a funny icebreaker being requested to say something in Hungarian.

8. What do you miss most from home?

A brezel in the morning and reliable statements to count on.

9. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?

Musician.

10. What's a job you would definitely never want?

Truck driver. They do a very hard job to keep things running for our lives.

11. Where did you spend your last vacation?

Portugal & Spain.

12. Where do you hope to spend your next holiday?

 Costa Rica or Sri Lanka.

13. Apart of temptation what can't you resist?

Haribo, Ben & Jerrys ice-cream and dumplings.

14. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?

 U2 & Depeche Mode, Dune from 1984 - best set design ever and a great story, I am still a football addict.

15. Red wine or white?

 Red.

16. Book or movie?

 Book.

17. Morning person or night person?

 Both.

18. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?

Sustainability & human rights.

19. Buda or Pest side?

Buda. I do like the buzzy Pest for nightlife and hanging out, but  i love my peace too much to live there. The short ways to be in the hills and forest are the cream on top.

20. What would you say is your personal motto?

I like a lot, get inspired on my Instagram channel. All of them are on point! But to provide one here: Let’s be realistic, try the impossible!
