The idea for ​​BeerLegal Pub came from the fact that when he went to Esztergom there was no such place, yet he longed for one. He is the type of person who, if he would like to have something that is not available, he trys to bring it to life, makes it happen, and that's what he did this time as well. His goal now is to introduce locals to popular Anglo-Saxon pub culture, which is available all over the world, and is now in Esztergom.

Tamás has a beautiful wife and a four-and-a-half-year-old daughter, who, thank God, is just like her mother :)

1. Where did you grow up?

I was born and reaised in Szombathely. I attended elementary and high-school there. 

2. If you could be an expat anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

If there was no language barrier, I would move to Japan.

3. What would you miss most if you moved away from Hungary?

If my family could join me, I would only miss Hungarian food.

4. Friends are in Budapest  / Esztergom for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?

Budapest Parlament, the Buda Castle, and the Basilika in Esztergom, plus of course the BeerLegal Pub in Esztergom :)

5. What is your favourite food?

Beef with vadas sauce, and ‘szarvacska’ pasta.

6. What is your favourite sport / form of exercise?

I like taking excursions, going on walks, riding a bike, but I do not like to overdo anything.

7. What is your favourite place in Hungary?

I like Szentendre very much.

8. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?

A ship captain.

9. What’s a job you would definitely never want?

Doctor, I am not the healing type.

10. Where did you spend your last vacation?

Sardinia, Italy.

11. Where do you hope to spend your next one?

I would like to go to Barcelona, again.

12. What was your favourite band and film as a teen?

I had lots of favourites, I would highlight Queen. I do not have a favourite film, but I liked Sci-Fi.

13. Apart of temptation what can't you resist?

My wife and my little daughter for sure.

14. Red wine or white?

Neither, I am a beer drinker.

15. Book or movie?

I read. Every day.

16. Morning person or night person?

It changes, so both or neither :)

17. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?

The disappearance of the middle class and a growing lack of culture in society is worrying.

18. Buda or Pest side?

Buda.

19. Which achievement in your life are you most pleased about?

I have a few, and could not make a priotity order. One of them for sure is fulfilling a dream to have my own pub one day.

20. What would you say is your personal motto? 

"Minden megeshet, még a csiga is eleshet!"
