When running a business in Hungary, it's important to be mindful of the public holidays and special observances throughout the year. During these periods, employees are more likely to request time off, and wage supplements may apply. Hungary has 13 public holidays annually, and in 2025, there will be three Saturdays designated as working days.

Based on a combined analysis of precipitation and average temperature, last year was the most unusual in the past 154 years, and compared to the period 1871-1900, February, July, winter and summer of 2024 were the most extreme, while August and spring were the second most unusual, HungaroMet wrote in a study published on its website.
