Major traffic restrictions are already in place in Budapest ahead of Hungary’s 20 August national holiday, with some closures starting as early as 9 August and lasting until 23 August. The measures, introduced by police to accommodate event preparations for the country’s biggest public celebration, affect several districts and key riverside areas.
