EC Official: Hungary ‘Healthier Than EU Average’

Hungary has a stable economy “belonging to the healthier half” of the EU member states, a country whose economic growth is primarily driven by consumption, István Székely, Director of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs, said in parliament’s European affairs committee on Monday.
Govt To Publish 2014 - 2020 EU Tenders Before End-March

The government will put out all tenders for European Union funding in the 2014-2020 period, totalling 8,900 billion forints (EUR 28.7bn), before the end of this month, government office chief János Lázár told parliament on Monday. Lázár said in his introduction to a plenary discussion on the subject that 53% of the grand total has already been contracted.

Automated Fare-Collection Scheme On Budapest Public Transport Coming Soon

As a result of recent work progress, BKK Centre for Budapest Transport, being in charge of the introduction of the automated fare-collection (AFC) scheme, and German supplier Scheidt & Bachmann jointly approved the updated project schedule for system introduction which includes the testing of an access gate to be installed at one of the metro stations by 31 July 2017.
