On display until 21 January 2024. The Painter and His Models, an exhibition of Renoir’s works in Budapest’s Museum of Fine Arts, has attracted some 200,000 visitors since opening in September, the museum said.

150 years ago on 17 November 1873, the city of Budapest was established by the unification of Pest, Buda and Óbuda. The origins of Budapest can be traced to the 4th century BC when the Celts occupied parts of Hungary. It was later conquered by the Roman Empire, which established the town of Aquincum around AD 100 on the site of today's city of Budapest.

Incumbent Szilveszter Ókovács has won the tender to serve as director general of the Budapest Opera House for another five years, Culture and Innovation Minister János Csák told a press conference.
