The 50,000th visitor was welcomed to this special Ice Age exhibition in Szeged on Monday. Retired teacher Mária Hoffman arrived at the exhibition with her grandchildren who live in Budapest.

Szombathely, in western Hungary, will once again turn back the clock this summer as it hosts the 24th Savaria Historical Carnival from 21 to 24 August. The four-day event will see the city’s streets filled with Roman legions, medieval merchants, baroque nobles, and a host of other historical figures from across the centuries.
