Survey: Household Consumer-Item Shopping Habits Little Changed In Hungary

Households in Hungary spent an average of HUF 2,498 (some €8.13) during trips to the store to purchase daily consumer items in 2013, slightly up from HUF 2,469 in 2012, market research company GfK Hungária reported to national news agency MTI on Wednesday, citing a company survey.

A hearing in the case of a fatal 2012 road accident was adjourned on Monday, after Slovak defendant Eva Rezešová Varholíková reported sick. The case, in which Rezešová has already been sentenced to 6 years in jail for 4 counts of manslaughter, is now before an appellate court in Budapest.

The scale of the projects is up 41% from last year. The value has climbed 29%. But IFK said it would still take 2-3 years for the pace of business to really pick up.
