The National Bank overstepped its authority by handing over confidential data to the IMF, the State Audit Office (ASZ) said, firing the latest shot in a recent dispute between the two institutions. In response, MNB governor Andras Simor said on ATV Wednesday that the central bank had not violated any rules in handing over the data at the request of the IMF.

A champion for freedom, Ambassador Palmer took up his duties in the last years of the Communist era, and played a highly visible role during the regime change.

I'm 37 and was brought up in Glasgow, Scotland where after finishing school I made my way into deepest darkest Central Europe as an 18 year-old to teach English in Transylvania for a year. The Chairlift is going to be operated from 9:30 to 15:00 hrs at weekends and on workdays alike. On Monday, 7th January maintenance works are going to take place. The Chairlift will be closed down completely that day.
