Budapest Jewish Summer Festival With Focus On Holocaust 70th Anniversary

This year’s Jewish Summer Festival held until Sept. 7 features music, literature, theatre, film and fine art, with a focus on the 70th anniversary of the Holocaust. Some 30 productions with more than 500 contributors at more than ten venues are featured in the week-long festival. In addition to Budapest, events are held in Gyöngyös, Pécs and Veszprém.

Vajdahunyad Castle Summer Festival in Budapest is a festival of classical music, swing, klezmer and traditional Hungarian gypsy music. Such world stars are going on stage this year again like Ferenc Rados, Alina Ibragimova, Barnabás Kelemen, Jan Erik Gustaffson, Zoltán Kocsis, Kirill Gernstein or the Amadinda Percussion Group. The art director of the festival is Katalin Kokas, violinist.
