Terminal 1 at Budapest Airport has reopened, four months after its closure, after an event center has been established in the empty passenger terminal. As previously envisaged, Budapest Airport decided to maintain the condition of the valuable building, which will thus be put to use once again. The Terminal 1 Airport Event Center will host corporate and private events as of 1 October.

On Wednesday 3 October, Budapest deputy mayor Gábor Bagdy asked the Municipal Assembly to remove this proposal from the agenda. Earlier: The Budapest Vidám Park will be permanently closed on November 6, deputy mayor Gábor Bagdy told HírTV. The facility in the City Park is on the verge of bankruptcy and needs nearly Ft 1 billion for an overhaul, he added.

As the renovation of the Buda Castle’s roads continue, the castle’s main entrance will be closed from road traffic as of 3 September (Monday). Road traffic and public transport changes are expected. The number of new companies registered was 13,100, down from 25,400 one year earlier. The number of companies stood at 640,300 on June 30, 2012.
