I learnt about Higgs Boson, wilful blindness, sewerage of the future, protons, learning to play the piano online, ageing, beat box (Star Trek is closer than we would think!) and this was delivered by some inspirational speakers.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending EUR 100 million to the Student Loan Centre (Diákhitel Központ) in Hungary to be on-lent to students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees at Hungarian higher education institutions.

Some 100kg of horse meat labelled as beef and imported from Hungary has been discovered in England, the British Food Standard Agency announced on Friday. It said 40kg of the shipment were sold in Liverpool and nearby Preston.

Budapest mayor István Tarlós agreed to let Jewish cultural centre Sirály remain open for the Passover season after a failed attempt to shut down the Sixth District facility Friday. The city property management company sent an e-mail on Thursday evening then attempted to take control of the Király utca café on Friday morning by sending security guards to change the lock on the front door.
