Noting that Europe would hold elections next May, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán called the current members of the European Parliament has-beens. The current EP has a “clear pro-migrant” majority whose mission “is to change the composition of the continent and replace its population”, Orbán said. He said certain EP politicians “hate all those who oppose their plans and organise resistance”.

The municipal assembly of Budapest decided to contribute another one billion forints (EUR 3m) to flood protection works in District 3 in the city’s north. The council decided to increase the budget for the complex project after changes in the plans necessitated by further inspection of the project sites.
