Hungarian Army Spends HUF 4.5bn On Border Protection Logistics

A total of 4.5 billion forints (EUR 14.5m) has been spent so far from the Hungarian army’s resources on logistics connected to border protection tasks, daily Magyar Idők reported. Nearly 1.7 billion forints has been spent on the deployment of staff and equipment required for building and guarding the fence along the southern border, the paper said citing figures from the defence ministry.

The cost of rented accommodation in Hungary has risen by 5-20% in the last 12 months, and by 30-40% in some regions, estate agency Otthon Centrum found in a new report.
