The General Assembly of Budapest has approved the master plan for the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Budapest, there were 21 votes in favour, 1 against and 9 absent. The assembly members have also accepted the guarantee letter to be submitted to the International Olympic Committee.

The Hungarian Armed Forces are ready to fulfil their duties pertaining to illegal migration. The army is prepared to carry out new tasks defined in the amended defence law such as police tasks or adopting new strategies related to hybrid warfare, chief of staff Tibor Benkő said. He noted that soldiers and police had conducted joint patrols in the past, as prescribed by past defence laws.
