The European Union “is withholding Hungary’s funds owing to political reasons, unfairly, and without any legal basis,” Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in Brussels on Thursday, adding that the European Commission’s conditions were piling up and were “becoming unfair”.

After a long wait, we have finally received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs how much the luxury trip of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his 40-person entourage to Vienna cost to the taxpayers last July. Although the Austrian capital is just a few hours’ drive from Budapest, Orbán and his delegation spent a night out for a brief meeting with the Austrian chancellor.

5 medals have been given to Hungarian wines at the latest edition (Spring Tasting) of Mundus Vini international wine contest. 19 wines received gold medal, 2 of them are dry white – both by Tornai Winery from Somló – 2 sparkling wines, 5 of them are sweet Tokaj wines and 10 of the gold winners are red wines.
