EC Okays €111mn For Research Centre In Szeged Hungary

The European Commission has approved €111 million for a pan-European Laser research hub to be built in Szeged. Related hubs in the Extreme Light Infrastructure project are under construction in Prague and Bucharest. The facility at the University of Szeged is expected to be operational in 2018 and to employ 250 scientists by 2020.
