Budapest needs to market itself more intensively on the global tourism market, otherwise it is missing out on lots of opportunities, president Herve Humler of the newly opened Ritz-Carlton, told Népszabadság in an interview. The Ritz-Carlton opened its first Budapest hotel last week with 170 rooms and 30 suites following an extensive renovation of the building that once housed Le Meridien.

British Airways will increase the number of its flights between Budapest and London Heathrow from three a day to four in the 2016 summer timetable from May to October, the Budapest airport operator announced on Tuesday.
