Hungary, South Korea To Set Up Direct Flights

Hungary and South Korea have agreed to launch direct flights between their capital cities this summer. Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó told a press conference that over the first phase of cooperation, Asiana Airlines, South Korea’s second biggest carrier, will operate one flight a week between Budapest and Seoul from the beginning of July to the end of August.

Hungary will be the guest of honour at this year’s International Book Fair organised in Taipei on Feb. 16-21, the foreign ministry’s state secretary said. The fair is the second largest literary event in Asia and the fourth largest such event in the world that last year featured 700 publishing houses from 70 countries, István Íjgyártó said.

It noted that on January 22 Tunisia’s interior ministry imposed a nationwide overnight curfew after protests and violence against high unemployment in the country. he curfew has been imposed to prevent tension from escalating.
