Hungary will be the guest of honour at this year’s International Book Fair organised in Taipei on Feb. 16-21, the foreign ministry’s state secretary said. The fair is the second largest literary event in Asia and the fourth largest such event in the world that last year featured 700 publishing houses from 70 countries, István Íjgyártó said.

The Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum and Research Centre in Vörösmarty utca 35, District 6, opened in September 1986 in the Old Academy of Music building, previously used from late 1875 until mid-1907 for music teaching. Early photographs show that there were originally two buildings on the site at the time of inauguration but one building has since been demolished.
