On the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci, the all times’ greatest Leonardo-exhibition has opened its doors in the Janus Pannonius Museum of Pécs in Hungary. The 16th annual Hungarian Jewish Summer Festival is currently being held in Budapest between 25 August and 2 September and offers various programs introducing Jewish culture. The festival is the largest of its kind in Europe and this year the Prime Minister’s Office is sponsoring the event with 58 million forints.

The Tranzit Festival is organised with the aim to help integrate Hungary’s youth into politics and prepare them for participation in public life, Minister of Defence Csaba Hende stated at the festival’s opening yesterday. This year, the festival took place between 21 and 25 August in Kőszeg near the Austrian border.
