Hungarian Travel Agency Korzika Goes Bust

The retail authority MKEH has withdrawn the licence of travel agency Korzika Holidays, leaving 33 travellers stranded abroad. The company had little capital and ran into a difficult situation. The tourists will return to Hungary with the help of the agency’s guarantee deposit. Korzika could not keep up with recent changes in travelling patterns, CEO Sándor Zsila observed.

State railway company MÁV indefinitely cancelled all international train traffic after 8 a.m. Thursday, citing “safety reasons”. Passengers wishing to travel abroad will have to disembark within Hungary and transfer to trains run by foreign companies. Wizz Air passengers are complaining that baggage is being rejected if it is only slightly oversized.
