A sort of agora, a community meeting point has been created in the rebuilt lobby of Budapest’s French Institute, French Ambassador to Hungary H. E. Roland Galharague said at the festive inauguration of the redeveloped building on Friday.

The Hungarian National Film Fund said that no decision had been made yet on granting support to an international co-production starring French actor Gerard Depardieu. The Fund denied information reported by Hollywood Reporter, according to which the Hungarianscripted WW1 drama entitled It’s Showtime, Siberia! is expecting 2 million dollars from Hungary’s Film Fund.

The chief purpose of the exhibition conceived for the 150th anniversary of the artist’s birth is to give a comprehensive presentation of the museum’s own material of prints and drawings. As the earliest sheets in the Budapest collection are from 1892 the exhibition wishes to shed light upon the last decade of his oeuvre (1891–1901), characterised by lively lithographic activity.
