Frank Peterson, upon visiting the Escorial Royal Monastery, was walking in the medieval corridors listening to rock music on his Walkman. The monks religious chanting combined with the music on his earphones and inspired him to create a unique experiment: to mix the Gregorian chants with rock melodies.

American congresswoman Marcy Kaptur has been awarded the Gold Cross of Merit of the Civilian Order, one of Hungary’s highest state honours for a foreign national. “The Democratic representative for Ohio’s 9th congressional district is honoured as one of Hungary’s greatest friends,” Ambassador to Washington Réka Szemerkényi, said at the ceremony.
