"Balatonfüred and the area around it isn't just famous for its wines, but also because of its relationship with the arts", Minister of State for Rural Development Zsolt V. Németh said on Saturday at the opening of the Balatonfüred Wine Weeks festival.

The wine sector, which provides a living for 300-400 thousand people and the structural reorganisation of which is expected to be completed by November, has received especially high levels of stimulus funding this year Ministerial Commissioner of the Ministry of Rural Development Eliza Kiss said on Wednesday in Balatonlelle.

The first finds from the Hungarian Conquest period of the 10th century at Nagykörű, a village on the right bank of the River Tisza, 25 kilometres northeast of the town of Szolnok, were excavated in 1891. In the autumn of 2010 the local authority at the village started building a new créche in the village centre and while digging the foundations more ancient Hungarian burials were found.
