Former Csepel player József Tóth, who played 12 times for the Hungarian national team between 1953 and 1957, died on 9 October, aged 88. The Hungarian Football Federation has been informed by József Tóth’s family that the former Golden Team member passed away this Monday.

Budapest’s mayor, István Tarlós, has failed to discuss proposals concerning renovating the third metro line or handling the capital’s current smog problem, a Socialist representative said. According to Hungarian investigative journalism portal Átlátszó.hu, the 2017 FINA World Championships to be hosted in Budapest in 2017 will cost Hungarian taxpayers at least HUF 90 billion (USD 323 million), of which HUF 52 billion (USD 192 million) is to be spent this year alone.
