Wines Selected For Great Tokaj Wine Auction 2015

Only the finest contemporary Tokaji wines are offered at the Great Tokaj Wine Auction staged annually by the Confrérie de Tokaj in Sárospatak Castle, Hungary as part of the Tokaj Spring event. Each is a unique barrel lot (136 l), a primeur wine that is available exclusively at the Auction to be held on 25th April 2015.

Budapest Dining Guide staff has once again gone on a mission to find the best places to eat in town, only this time, their focus was (taking a heavy cue from British tradition) on finding the best gastropubs. The restaurant guide picked the top 10 hot-spots, which all have two things in common: great food and beers to match.

Born in Rome, Anna is French and Canadian of Russian origin. Both sets of grandparents were born in Russia and escaped during the revolution in 1917 making their way to Paris where they settled. Eventually her paternal grandparents immigrated to New York and once again started new lives.

I was born in Hungary but moved to the Washington DC area when I was 5. I spent my youth growing up as a regular American kid (minus the idiosyncrasies of having Hungarian parents in a foreign land, which was a whole separate adventure).

When I stepped off the plane in Hungary with my guidebook in hand, Kehli was one of the first restaurants I discovered, located in the oldest part of Buda. It first opened in 1899 as a small family-style restaurant, serving hearty, traditional Hungarian food and has developed since then.
