The festival was established in 2004 by a group of young Hungarian filmmakers in order to fill a gap in the category of short film, but over the years it became clear that it was about much more. The 2009 film by Lynne Sachs is a portrait of a doctor who saw the worst of society and ran. The Last Happy Day is an experimental documentary portrait of Sandor (Alexander) Lenard, a Hungarian medical doctor and a distant cousin of filmmaker Lynne Sachs.
