China’s Huawei is spending almost 10 billion forints on developing Hungary’s broadband network, and it will expand its new regional innovation centre in the country, company officials announced. Huawei will lay about 1,000 kilometres of optical cable to bring broadband internet to some 140,000 homes, said Huawei Technologies Hungary’s outgoing managing director Bin Yun Song.
