I'm 37 and was brought up in Glasgow, Scotland where after finishing school I made my way into deepest darkest Central Europe as an 18 year-old to teach English in Transylvania for a year. One university degree in translation and interpreting later (back in Edinburgh) I came out to Budapest to be with my fiancée. That was some 15 years ago now.

I was born in a small town in the middle of Germany and after a short period when I was 16 in the far north of Germany, where I could not stand the weather and the flat land, I stayed pretty much put there (it was a nice place with lots of international students…) until I was 25 years old.
