New Flights to Romania & Armenia Launched from Budapest Airport
Wizz Air launched its Budapest-Brasov flight to Romania on Tuesday, flying three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, spokeswoman Zsuzsa Trubek announced at the airport.

“The speed and comfort of transport creates new opportunities for tourism, business relations and culture,” said Ferenc Antal, Economy Ministry undersecretary and board member of Budapest Airport.

The Hungarian airline also opened two more new routes, flying daily to Bucharest and twice a week to Yerevan, Armenia.

Wizz Air has already offered three new destinations in its summer timetable, flying to Brussels (Zaventem), Stuttgart and Valencia, Trubek added.

Sales director Balázs Bogáts of Budapest Airport said passengers can directly fly from Liszt Ferenc Airport to more than 130 destinations around the world this summer.

He estimated that passenger traffic will exceed the pre-pandemic record of 16.2 million this year.
