Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony wrote in a Facebook post this week that the future of Sziget has become uncertain, as the festival's CEO informed him that he was forced to initiate the termination of the agreement between the capital and the long running 'Island of Freedom' festival.

Although we thought in 2016 that we could say goodbye to Roxette and the chance to hear their evergreen hits live, Per Gessle, the band's founder, has now picked up the torch and will return to the stage in 2025 with Swedish superstar Lena Philipsson on a tour called Roxette In Concert. The first stop on the European tour will be Budapest, on 4 November at the Budapest Arena.
