In January, industrial output in Hungary was up 6.9 percent compared with the same month a year earlier, a preliminary release of data by the Central Statistical Office on Wednesday showed.

After last year’s great success, the Müpa ice rink welcomes the locals just outside the main entrance of the Müpa building. Up to 80 skaters at a time can use the 400 square metre surface of ice to glide around to music broadcast by Müpa Radio’s Easy and Symphony channels.

This 'Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols' was popularized at King’s College, Cambridge, by the then Dean Eric Milner-White in the early part of the twentieth century. The music at the very first service in Cambridge in 1918 was directed by Arthur Henry Mann. The service was first broadcast by the BBC in 1928.

According to pestbuda.hu, the seventh bridge of Budapest was inaugurated 80 years ago, on the 12th of September, 1937. The bridge connecting South Buda and South Pest was originally called Horthy Miklós Bridge, but it was renamed to Petőfi Bridge after WWII. The construction of the bridge was necessary due to the dynamic development of Budapest.
