A Hungarian military observer was kidnapped and later released by Bedouins on the Sinai peninsula in Egypt, an Egyptian security source announced on Thursday. Local authorities freed the Hungarian observer after about two hours. He continued his trip to Cairo with enhanced security.

The producers of the movie A Good Day to Die Hard paid Ft 13.6 million to the Hungarian Armed Forces for the use of a military helicopter while filming in Budapest in June, Defence Minister Csaba Hende wrote in answer to a question from Socialist MP Ferenc Juhász. The producers have paid Ft 100 million in area usage fees to Budapest.
