The European Festival Awards has finished with the success of the Hungarian festival scene. B.my.Lake the newest member in the portfolio of Sziget Cultural Management has won the category of ‘Best New Festival’, while all other nominated festivals: Sziget Festival, VOLT Festival and MasterCard Balaton Sound are among the best festivals of Europe.

The Budapest Zoo is constantly blessed with newcomers. A new generation of nyala antelopes has arrived in December, both are females, Nina and Amira have both given birth to one calf. In 2013 eight common agoutis were born altogether, and now on 14th January one more has arrived.
