Production has started in the new, EUR 900 million Audi plant in Győr, Northwest Hungary. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who stressed the role of the German car manufacturer in boosting Hungary’s importance as a regional automotive industry centre.
