Lawmakers approved on Thursday the third law on reducing public utility bills for households. The law tabled by Fidesz’s parliamentary leader Antal Rogán passed in a vote of 298 to 7 with 5 abstentions. Under the law, the price of gas will fall by 6.5% from April while the price of electricity will be cut by 5.7% from September. District heating will be cut by 3.3% from October this year.

The Danube-Ipoly National Park Directorate's new visitors' centre and a new educational nature trail have been inaugurated in Királyrét, 60 kilometres north of Budapest. The ecotourism institution, which has been developed into a visitors' centre out of a forest school, was inaugurated by Deputy State Secretary András Rácz and Government Commissioner Richárd Tarnai.

“Vodafone Hungary has increased its 3G mobile internet coverage to 98.3%, reaffirming its leading role in mobile internet services,” the company’s chief executive Diego Massidda Announced Monday.
