In addition to Hungarian state media, former high-ranking Hungarian intelligence officials also appear to be directly promoting Russian disinformation to the Hungarian public.

In Hungary, according to tradition on this day, girls were lightly whipped with a young tree shoot, to wish them good health and fertility in the new year.
