Mulled wine is a beverage of European origins usually made with red wine along with various mulling spices and sometimes raisins. It is served hot or warm and is alcoholic, although there are non-alcoholic versions of mulled wine. It is a traditional drink during winter so you are welcome to try it on Friday, 13 January near Allee Shopping Center between 13 - 15 January from 12:00 to 22:00.

Every 7th of January I have to call four friends called Attila and congratulate them on their name day. A Hungarian table calendar tells you whose name day it is, and just to make sure every morning the radio announcer congratulates those who are celebrating their name day. In addition a little sign at the florist’s reminds you about the day’s name just in case you forgot.

For the first time in Budapest audiences may experience a symphony orchestra performing music to the entire film from one of the most beloved film franchises in history. Live Nation recently announced that the Magyar Virtuozok Orchestra will perform Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone on January 21st at Budapest Arena as part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series.

The prime minister said that the European dream is over and whereas in the past decisions had to be made about how to distribute money, currently a general feeling of austerity is the norm. Western Europe has been taking in migrants for decades but their integration has been an “obvious failure,” Viktor Orbán told regional dailies published by press group Mediaworks.
