On the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci, the all times’ greatest Leonardo-exhibition has opened its doors in the Janus Pannonius Museum of Pécs in Hungary. The exhibition, showcasing the scientific and engineering works of the genius brain, awaits visitors at two venues, on almost 1500 square meters, until 30th September 2014.

An exhibition of nearly 60 inventions by Leonardo da Vinci opened at Pécs Janus Pannonius Museum yesterday. Mayor Zsolt Páva and Giovanni di Pasquale, an official from the lending institution, Galileo Science History Museum in Florence, opened the exhibition.

Béla Kása was born in Pécs in 1952 and graduated in photography from the College of Fine Arts in Cologne in 1979. His photographic journals of folk art were inspired by his travels in Transylvania in 1973, during which time he fell under the spell of the region’s centuries-old traditions and folk music. Gábor Czene of Népszabadság conducted an interview with Tamás Fabiny, bishop of the northern district of the Hungarian Lutheran Church. Fabiny was ordained in Erlangen, Germany in 1982. He also studied in the United States. In addition to his church activities he worked for Duna TV. Since 2010 he has been the vice chairman of the Lutheran World Federation.
