Invited by Urban Sketchers Budapest, for the first time ever Alvaro Castagnet one of the world’s most highly respected watercolor artists will hold a demonstration at 11 a.m. in Fuga on the 5th of June. Alvaro has been recognized with top international honors for his painting and his art graces the walls of many private and corporate collectors worldwide.

"Born in Paris in 1964, he is descended from Hungarian landowners, and has German origins on his mother's side. He inherited his artistic talent from his grandmother, who was a painter in Leipzig in 1920s.

Zsófi spent her formative years in Eger with her two brothers, teacher mother and folk dancer – choreographer father. After taking leading roles in the student and cultural life of the city for years, she continued her studies in adult & continuing education and event management in Debrecen. She moved to Budapest in 2013 right after finishing her master’s degree.

This exhibition pays homage to Tibor Csernus, one of the most important Hungarian painters of the twentieth century, who lived and worked in Paris from the mid-1960s until his death 2007. The memorial Studio is organised by the Gábor Kovács Art Foundation (KOGART) in cooperation with Várgondnokság Kft.
