The community of The British International School Budapest came together to celebrate the graduation of its Class of 2017 last Saturday at the Intercontinental Budapest. The event was attended by over 250 students, parents, teachers and guests, including Dr Michael Ignatieff PC CM, President and Rector of CEU, and Her Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador Iain Lindsay OBE (pictured below).

The remains of Hungarian-born celebrity Zsa Zsa Gabor will be buried in Hungary, according to a Budapest-based relative quoted by the tabloid Blikk. Gabor died in her home in Los Angeles on Sunday at the age of 99.

An outline for a new national basic school curriculum is to be completed by late November, Magyar Idõk has learned. It will include among other proposals restructuring the school year and the possibility of starting school classes at 9 a.m.
