The Foreign Ministry is considering a request from five Afghan interpreters who have worked with Hungarian forces in that country for permission to emigrate to Hungary with their families. Ministry spokesman Gábor Kaleta said consultations will be held with the relevant state bodies and NATO members.

Parliament passed a bill banning gambling halls and electronic casinos in a fast-track procedure on Tuesday. Under the new law slot machines may only be operated in three existing casinos, and catering spots may no longer host them. The bill will enter into force on the day following final presidential approval, when former licences will lose their validity.
