Hungary’s ruling Fidesz has welcomed a proposal by European People’s Party group leader Manfred Weber aimed at including all European Union candidates in the list of safe countries for refugees. Fidesz said that adopting the proposal could greatly contribute to identifying economic migrants and preventing the abuse of political asylum rights and of welfare services.
