Hungarian households have amassed Ft 143 billion of debt to energy companies as of May 31, half of which is owed to gas companies, according to data from the Hungarian Energy Office, Development Minister Mrs. László Németh reported. Gas companies switched off gas at 102,000 households and 13,000 business, while electricity companies cut off service affecting 37,000 households and 3,000 companies.

Carrus To Provide Horse Race Software For Hungary

PMC, part of French group Carrus, has won the Ft 650 million contract to provide the software to facilitate off-track betting on horse races in such places as pubs and bars. State horse race organiser MLFSZ and development bank MFB announced that 440 terminals will be in use from January 1. Of these, 40 will be installed at the Budapest race track Kincsem Park.
