The number of new homes built could increase by 14% this year compared with last year, partly as a result of the government’s family home subsidies, Csaba Dömötör, a state secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, told public news channel M1 on Friday. In addition, the number of homebuilding permits issued this year rose 2.5 fold compared with last year, he added.

The list of banned psychoactive drugs has been expanded with a 13 new items. Electronic cigarettes were grouped under ordinary cigarette regulations. As a result only licensed tobacco shops, the so-called kiosks, may sell them in the future. The law on air traffic was also modified authorising the police to levy fines for the illegal use of drones.

Radical nationalist party Jobbik made its support for a proposed constitutional amendment by Fidesz conditional on the cessation of sales of the bonds.
